PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruth R. Shelby, 90, of Los Angeles, Calif., died Thursday, July 3, 2003, in Los Angeles. She was born March 12, 1913, in Washington, D.C., daughter of Edmund Allen and Helen Greeley Russell Jr. She and Peter P. Shelby were married Feb. 2, 1935, in Los Angeles, Calif. He died Feb. 24, 1989...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruth R. Shelby, 90, of Los Angeles, Calif., died Thursday, July 3, 2003, in Los Angeles.

She was born March 12, 1913, in Washington, D.C., daughter of Edmund Allen and Helen Greeley Russell Jr. She and Peter P. Shelby were married Feb. 2, 1935, in Los Angeles, Calif. He died Feb. 24, 1989.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Charles E. Shelby of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

A memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Barrens Church. The Rev. Shelby will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Miller Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
