Ruth E. Nothdurft, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Heartland Care and Rehab in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 7, 1911, at Poplar Bluff, Mo., daughter of Martin Frederick and Alma Turner Nothdurft.
She attended the old Broadway Elementary School, and in 1930, graduated from Central High School. During the 1970s, she worked three years at the Lutheran Home. In 1993, she moved to the Maple Crest Manor in Cape Girardeau; and in November 2001, she moved to Heartland Care and Rehab. Ruth was of the Methodist faith.
Loving survivors include a nephew, Donald Nothdurft of Whitewater, Mo.; a niece, Beverly Ridings of Broken Arrow, Okla.; several great nieces and nephews, and two special friends, Harlan and Doris Smothers of Gordonville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home. The Rev. Elijah Allen will officiate, with burial in Zion Methodist Cemetery in Gordonville.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Zion Methodist Cemetery Fund.
