Ruth Burns Nathaniel, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 4, 1915, at Glen Allen, daughter of Marvin and Clara Lincoln Burns. She first married Harold Pettibone, who preceded her in death. She later married Dr. Del Nathaniel, who also preceded her in death.

Nathaniel retired as a secretary at Kelly Springfield Tire Co. in St. Louis. She was a member of Glen Allen United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Mary Hargiss of Cape Girardeau, Mae Anderson and Billie Abernathy of Glen Allen.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Michael Woods will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Allen Cemetery.
