Ruth Mae Moore, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Dec. 19, 1926, at Canalou, daughter of Isreal Paul and Lillie B. Ray Porter. She married Eddie Moore in Springfield, Ill. Moore lived in Springfield, Ill., many years. She worked in the laundry department at St. John's Hospital there 35 years. She moved back to Cape Girardeau in 1996. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Springfield...

Ruth Mae Moore, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Dec. 19, 1926, at Canalou, daughter of Isreal Paul and Lillie B. Ray Porter. She married Eddie Moore in Springfield, Ill.

Moore lived in Springfield, Ill., many years. She worked in the laundry department at St. John's Hospital there 35 years. She moved back to Cape Girardeau in 1996. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Springfield.

Survivors include a son, Darcell Moore of Cape Girardeau, a brother, I.C. Porter of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Evelyn Porter and Bessie Lattin of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Johnny Thomas will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to service time.
