Ruth Evelyn Majka, 83, of Delta died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Monticello House in Jackson. She was born Aug. 26, 1926, at Bell City, Mo., daughter of Urnia and Grace McIntosh Hefner. She and Henry Jacob Majka were married Jan. 23, 1954, and he survives...

Ruth Evelyn Majka, 83, of Delta died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Aug. 26, 1926, at Bell City, Mo., daughter of Urnia and Grace McIntosh Hefner. She and Henry Jacob Majka were married Jan. 23, 1954, and he survives.

Majka was a homemaker and a member of the SEMO Club of the Deaf.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ivan (Donna) Majka of Jackson and Audie Majka, of Delta; three grandchildren, Branson Majka of Scott City, Brandi Majka of Farmington, Mo., Breanna Field of Millersville; and one great-grandchild, Dustin Majka of Scott City.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Rev. Ralph Duffner will officiate. Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance, Mo.
