RUTH M. FROEMSDORF

JACKSON -- Funeral service for Ruth Meta Froemsdorf of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Steven MacDougall will officiate, with burial in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery at Tilsit.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.

Froemsdorf, 68, died Sunday, June 27, 1993, at DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton.

She was born Aug. 16, 1924, at Jackson, daughter of Gottlieb F. and Meta Meier Froemsdorf.

Froemsdorf was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She taught third grade and then second grade at Trinity Lutheran School for a total of 39 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Trinity Church.

Survivors include a niece, Mary Wood of Higginsville, and two great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.
