Ruth Mae Jauch, 94, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 11, 1915, near Advance, Mo., daughter of the late James Wesley and Lillie Myrtle Goff Steward. In 1930 she married Theodore R. Rogers, and in 1940 she married Lester Roy "L.R." Teets. On Oct. 18, 1948, she and Luther Martin Jauch were married. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1978...

Ruth Mae Jauch, 94, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 11, 1915, near Advance, Mo., daughter of the late James Wesley and Lillie Myrtle Goff Steward.

In 1930 she married Theodore R. Rogers, and in 1940 she married Lester Roy "L.R." Teets. On Oct. 18, 1948, she and Luther Martin Jauch were married. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1978.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Warren G. and Betty Rogers of Parrish, Fla., daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Christine and Larry R. Hopper Sr. of Kissimmee, Fla., daughter Joan Leatrice Teets Griffaw of Cape Girardeau, daughter and son-in-law Marjorie Marilyn "Marj" and Dennis M. Jauch of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Norma Jean Bankston of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Louella Rose Jauch; two sisters and three brothers; Dollie Lowes, Rosybell Stephens, Joe, James "John" and Herbert Steward; two infant brothers; one great-grandson; and son-in-law James L. Griffaw.

Ruth loved to sew and garden, which she learned from her mother, Lillie, and shared those interests with her children.

Visitation will be at noon Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Darrell Jauch officiating. Burial will follow at Proffer Cemetery in Crump.
