Ruth Hemmann

UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Ruth Lydia Hemmann, 85, of Uniontown died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Parkside Meadows Retirement Community in St. Charles, Mo.

She was born Aug. 3, 1920, at Uniontown, daughter of Gottfried G. and Emma Franke Hemmann. She and Edwin G. Hemmann were married Feb. 9, 1941. He died March 8, 1977.

Hemmann retired from McDonnell Douglas Food Service. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Charles and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Hemmann of Cape Girardeau, Gary Hemmann of St. Charles, Edward Hemmann of Chesterfield, Mo.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
