CHARLESTON - Ruth Helen Kerr, 61, of Charleston, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1993 at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Dec. 11, 1931 in Ridgely, Tenn., the daughter of Sam Norvel and Della Boyer Tatum.

On Feb. 12, 1960 she married Edward Kerr, who survives.

She lived in Mississippi County for 15 years and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church of East Prairie.

Surviving besides her husband are: her mother, of Anniston; four sons, Kirk Allen Kerr of Paden City, W. Va., Edward T. Kerr, Jr. and Steven Michael Kerr, both of Sikeston, and Josh Thomas Kerr of Charleston; three sisters, Barbara Rice of Licking, Joyce Manker of Benton, and Donna Burns of Anniston and four grandchildren.

Friends may call until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Amos Johnson, pastor of the Victory Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
