STURDIVANT, Mo. -- Ruth Hawk, 88, of Sturdivant died Monday, April 19, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 25, 1915, at Greenbrier, Mo., daughter of David and Bertha Sample Owens. She and Linus Hawk were married May 3, 1936, at Greenbrier. He died April 27, 1999...

STURDIVANT, Mo. -- Ruth Hawk, 88, of Sturdivant died Monday, April 19, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 25, 1915, at Greenbrier, Mo., daughter of David and Bertha Sample Owens. She and Linus Hawk were married May 3, 1936, at Greenbrier. He died April 27, 1999.

Survivors include a son, David Hawk of Pauls Valley, Okla.; two daughters, Pat Ubelein of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Janice Dold of Pauls Valley; a brother, Warren Owens of Pomona, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
