MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Ruth A. Hale, 83, of High Ridge, Mo., formerly of Marble Hill, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at IHS Health Care in Valley Park, Mo.
She was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Estill Springs, Tenn., daughter of John Lee and Maggie Mae Fisher Watson. She and Roy Hale were married Dec. 20, 1937. He died Jan. 1, 1992.
Hale was retired from International Shoe Co. She was a member of Marble Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, John Hale of Affton, Mo., Ronald Hale of High Ridge; two brothers, Riley Watson of the state of Florida, William Watson of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruby Norman of Fayetteville, Nettie Stanley of Huntsville, Ala.; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Edward Yates officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery near Scopus, Mo.
