WHITEWATER -- Ruth Gross, 81, Whitewater Route 1, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born March 28, 1910, at Crump, daughter of Daniel and Alice Simpson Stroder. She married Leo Gross Sept. 17, 1928, at Jackson.

Gross was a lifelong member of Whitewater Methodist Church, and member of Ladies Missionary Society.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Wanda Cox of Whitewater; two brothers, Gene and Emory Stroder of Whitewater; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Virgil Bunch will officiate, with burial in Whitewater Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
