ANNA, Ill. -- Ruth Leona Garrett, 71, of Anna died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
She was born May 3, 1932, at Chrisney, Ind., daughter of Earl and Mildred Tuley Meyer. She and Charles Garrett were married Aug. 8, 1948. She was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Penny Beisner of Anna and Lori Vanderpool of Branson, Mo.; four brothers, Charles "Dick" Garrett and John Garrett, both of Pekin, Ill., David Garrett of Port Orchard, Wash., and Tom Garrett of Branson; three half sisters, Judy, Linda and Connie; four half brothers, Mike, Jim, Bill and Russell; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
