Ruth J. Fluegge, 76, of Pevely, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Mo.
She was born Aug. 9, 1928, in Chaffee, Mo., daughter of George and Emma Laurentius Beel. She and Elmer W. Fluegge were married Feb. 28, 1948. He died Dec. 6, 1986.
Fluegge was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Herculaneum, Mo., and had been active in the VFW Auxiliary in Festus, Mo.
Survivors include two brothers, Ed Beel of Cape Girardeau, Charlie Beel of St. Louis; three sisters, Sophie Schafer of Jackson, Caroline Macke of St. Louis, Lavern Winebarger of Fredericktown, Mo.; four grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Monsignor Ed Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
