RUTH E. WILKERSON

Ruth E. Wilkerson, 93, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Oct. 16, 1900, in Quincy, Ill., daughter of Frank and Dolly Long Hugh. She and Leslie Wilkerson were married in 1931 in Quincy. He died Aug. 2, 1968...

Ruth E. Wilkerson, 93, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 16, 1900, in Quincy, Ill., daughter of Frank and Dolly Long Hugh. She and Leslie Wilkerson were married in 1931 in Quincy. He died Aug. 2, 1968.

Wilkerson was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, charter member of Cape Navy Mothers and Rose Hill Garden Club, member and past president of VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Harold Bergmann of Kansas City; a daughter, Leona Howe of Gainesville, Fla.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jerry Statler officiating.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There is no visitation.
