RUTH DELPLANE

SIKESTON -- Funeral for Ruth Delplane of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Delplane, 71, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 21, 1927, daughter of Jacob Theodore and Effie Dover Huddleston. She and Dan E. Delplane were married Dec. 28, 1945.

Delplane was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Lee Delplane of Blytheville, Ark., Donnie Delplane of Springfield, Tenn.; a brother, Delbert Huddleston of Ellsinore; three sisters, Pauline Twitty of Morehouse, Lois Bruton of Wilmore, Kan., Fern Piland of Seminole, Okla.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
