MOUNDS, Ill. -- Funeral mass for Ruth Miller Davis of Mounds will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City. The Rev. Bill McGhee will officiate, with burial in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.
Barkett Funeral Home at Mounds is in charge of arrangements.
Davis, 65, died Monday, July 3, 1995, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.
She was born March 26, 1930, in Pulaski County, daughter of Hub and Josie Chapman Crippen.
Davis was a retired Pulaski County circuit clerk. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and St. Mary's Sodality, Young Republicans, Republican Booster Club, charter member of Pulaski County Republican Women's Club, and former member of Illinois Circuit Clerk Association.
Survivors include her husband, Donovan Davis; a daughter, Carol George of Villa Ridge; a son, Darrell Miller of Brawley, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Patricia Reed and Amy Adams of O'Fallon, Trina Sartin of Killeen, Texas; a stepson, Donovan Davis Jr. of Ft. Drum, N.Y.; a sister, Ann Taylor of Thebes; a brother, Elmer Crippen of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and two granddaughters.
