BLOOMFIELD -- Ruth Mae Cox, 82, of Bloomfield died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at her home. She was born Oct. 29, 1917, at Bloomfield, daughter of Alva and Grace Culbertson Bennett. BLOOMFIELD -- Ruth Mae Cox, 82, of Bloomfield died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at her home.

She was born Oct. 29, 1917, at Bloomfield, daughter of Alva and Grace Culbertson Bennett. She and Lloyd Cox were married in 1932. He died in 1966.

Cox had worked at Anderson Music Co., and was retired from Lafayette Sales in Detroit, Mich.

Survivors include four sons, Leon Cox of Bloomfield, Don Cox of Trenton, Mich., Dennis Cox of Grand Rapids, Mich., Charles Cox of Southgate, Mich.; a daughter, Virginia Hampton of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Dale Grissom will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery.
