Ruth E. Brandt, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 6, 1998, at her home. She was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ernest and Maude T. Taylor Reed. She and William C. Brandt were married Nov. 26, 1948, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 4, 1992...

Ruth E. Brandt, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 6, 1998, at her home.

She was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ernest and Maude T. Taylor Reed. She and William C. Brandt were married Nov. 26, 1948, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 4, 1992.

Brandt was a nurse's aide at Southeast Missouri Hospital more than 20 years. She had been co-owner of WUEZ Radio Station in Herrin, Ill., since 1989. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Survivors include two sons, John and Michael Brandt of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Deborah Scott of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-7 p.m. today.

Private graveside service will be held at Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating.
