RUTH BAER

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruth C. Baer, 78, of Perryville died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at her home.

She was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Edwin and Mary Schumer Unverferth. She and Gilbert W. "Gib" Baer were married May 30, 1944, in Perryville. He died July 28, 1992.

Baer was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Baer of Perryville, Larry Baer of Biehle, Mo.; three daughters, Patricia Kelso of Little Rock, Ark., Sally Robison of Del Ray Beach, Fla., Cindy Giesler of Tulsa, Okla.; five sisters, Alma Schumer, Joan Welker and Mary Becker of Perryville, Rosemary Healy of California, Regina Unverferth of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Joe Unverferth of Perryville, Ed Unverferth of Red Bud, Ill., Jack Unverferth of Tucson, Ariz., Jim Unverferth of Lincoln, Neb.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, and a brother.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The parish wake will be at 6 tonight, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Maurus Church Cemetery at Biehle.
