McCLURE, Ill. -- Ruth Ann Mann, 69, of McClure died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at her home. She was born Feb. 18, 1947, in Dexter, Missouri, to Loyd and Opal Cornelison Edwards. She and Jerry Charles Mann were married June 28, 1963, in Dexter. She had worked in housekeeping at Southeast Hospital for 11 years. Ruth loved spending time with her granddaughter and enjoyed going to car shows...

McCLURE, Ill. -- Ruth Ann Mann, 69, of McClure died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at her home.

She was born Feb. 18, 1947, in Dexter, Missouri, to Loyd and Opal Cornelison Edwards. She and Jerry Charles Mann were married June 28, 1963, in Dexter.

She had worked in housekeeping at Southeast Hospital for 11 years. Ruth loved spending time with her granddaughter and enjoyed going to car shows.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Charles Mann of McClure; a son, Scott (Connie) Mann of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Michelle (Shawn) Hinkle of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Roger (Sandy) Edwards of Dexter; a sister, Vickie (Oscar) Talmage of Dexter; a granddaughter, Kylie Hinkle of Cape Girardeau; two stepgrandchildren, Jeremy (Kara) Franklin of Cape Girardeau and Jill (Nic) Labbee of House Springs, Missouri; three great-stepgrandchildren; a brother-in-law, Wayne Cagle of Bloomfield, Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Brenda (Johnnie) Shirley of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Linda Sue Edwards and Marilyn Cagle; father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Clodina Pruett Mann; and a brother-in-law, Rod Corlew.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, 425 S. Woods Mill Road 110, Town and Country, MO 63017.
