Russell Smith

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Russell R. Smith, 64, of Olive Branch died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 7, 1948, son of Roy Tillman and Etta Mae Warren Smith. He and Debra Coleson were married in 1975.

Russell enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the races.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Olive Branch; a daughter, Misty (Mitch) Middleton of Millersville; a son, Scott (Nikki) Smith of De Soto, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Hunter, Drake, Haylee, Jacob, Lexi, Lucas and Avery; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Crain Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
