RUSSELL O. HAWKINS JR.

JACKSON -- Russell Olson "Rusty" Hawkins Jr. of Desloge died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1993, at the Desloge Inn.

He was born Dec. 10, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, son of Russell and Irene Grant Hawkins.

Hawkins was a graduate of Jackson High School, received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a master's degree in business administration from St. Louis University.

For the past two years he was manager of the Desloge Inn. He was secretary of the Chamber of Commerce at Desloge, and member of First Presbyterian Church in DeLand, Fla.

Survivors include three sons, Grant Hawkins of Desloge, Scott and Kirk Hawkins of DeLand; a daughter, Amy Hawkins of DeLand, and a brother, Donald Hawkins of Marble Hill.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New McKendree United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Otto Steinhaus officiating.
