MOUNDS, Ill. -- Russell Frederick Heisner, 84, of Perks, formerly of Mounds, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, at his home.
He was born June 24, 1912, in Grand Chain, Ill., son of Jacob and Ann Rehg Heisner. He was a retired school-bus driver and custodian with the Villa Ridge School and Meridian School District at Mounds.
He is survived by two sons, Glenn Heisner of Anna and Frederick Heisner of Jonesboro; three daughters, Louise Williams of New Douglas, Nola Heisner of Cairo and Peggy Ledbetter of Mounds; three sisters, Vera Brown of Belleville, Helen Hubbard of Grand Chain and Ella Badgley of Fairfield; three brothers, Raymond Heisner of Indianola, Iowa, and Robert and Carl Heisner, both of Grand Chain; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Derrill Schroth officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Grand Chain.
