Russel Lee Faust, 85, of Missouri Veterans Home, died Thursday, March 16, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Feb. 28, 1910, in Cape Girardeau, son of Joseph and Eva Gregory Faust. He and Martha M. Hull were married July 18, 1939, in St. Louis. She died in 1979.
Faust owned and operated Faust Machine Shop from 1946-76. He was instrumental in getting the new Cape Senior Center built, was a volunteer at the center and was past president of the board. The administrative office of the center was named in his honor.
He was a member of VFW; Centenary United Methodist Church, past president of its Men's Club, was a board member many years, and served 25 years on the Board of Trustees. He was a member of Odd Fellows, past noble grand, and general chairman of the Grand Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Heller of Clayton; a brother, Howard Faust of St. Louis; a sister, Ivella Weiss of Cape Girardeau, and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Neil Stein officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
