ALTENBURG -- Rudolph Friedrich Schilling, 92, formerly of Altenburg, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1993, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 20, 1901, at Altenburg, son of Ferdinand Adolph and Anna Marie Kasten Schilling. He and Clara W. Loebs were married Nov. 9, 1924. She died Oct. 28, 1991...

ALTENBURG -- Rudolph Friedrich Schilling, 92, formerly of Altenburg, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1993, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 20, 1901, at Altenburg, son of Ferdinand Adolph and Anna Marie Kasten Schilling. He and Clara W. Loebs were married Nov. 9, 1924. She died Oct. 28, 1991.

Schilling was a retired farmer. He was a member and former elder of Trinity Lutheran Church, and former member of East Perry Fair Committee.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond Schilling of Scheller, Ill., Melvin Schilling of St. Charles, Harold Schilling of Altenburg; three daughters, Myrtle Kuehnert and Lillian Fiehler of Altenburg, Lorene Heartling of Nashville, Ill.; two sisters, Amanda Engert of Cape Girardeau; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nine stepgrandchildren, and 12 great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Church. The Rev. Willard Kassulke will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel from 5-9 p.m. today, and from 6:30 a.m.-noon Sunday.
