JACKSON -- Ruddle Otto Gloth, 82, of Jackson, died Thursday, July 1, 1993 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 29, 1911 in Whitewater, son of George Washington Gloth and Emma Lee Hahn.
He worked for the Little River Drainage District of Cape Girardeau, retiring in April 1973. He was also a member of Passover Methodist Church near Whitewater.
He married Mary Stevens on Feb. 5, 1941 and she preceded him in death Feb. 23, 1973.
He then married Edna McClard on Jan. 15, 1976, and she survives of Jackson.
He is survived by three step-sons, Wayne and Lane McClard, both of Jackson, Neil McClard, Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Rose Lee Kern, New Hamburg, Karen Sue Schmitt, Chaffee Route 1, Pamela Cate, Alamogordo, N.M.; two sisters, Cora Huffman, Whitewater, Ruby Bone, St. Louis; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
One son, one daughter, one grandchild, six brothers, two sisters, two half brothers and one half sister preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be held Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will follow in Passover Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday at the funeral home after 5 p.m.
