MORLEY -- Rubye Janet Hawkins, 61, of Morley, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at her home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William Harold and Catherine Louise Cavaness Curnell. She and Milton T. Hawkins were married Nov. 28, 1954, in Tunica, Miss.
Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Stephen Hawkins of St. Louis, Michael and Jerry Hawkins of Sikeston, Scott Hawkins of Tempe, Ariz., Mark Hawkins of Arlington, Texas, Matthew Hawkins of Morley, Troy Estes III of Benton; six daughters, Roxanne Kuhn of St. Petersburg, Fla., Leslie Barrett of Fredericktown, Kathy Dunaway of Wickliffe, Ky., Semona Penrod and Marla Stephenson of Morley, Marcy Estes of Risco; two brothers, Doug and Harold Curnell of Scott City; and 29 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton from 5-8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 2-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Revs. William Dickey and Jack Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
