WHITEWATER -- Ruby Jane Woods, 87, of Whitewater died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 14, 1910, at New Madrid, daughter of Walter and Margaret Condor Gentry.

Woods was a member of Lake Girardeau Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Charles Woods of Whitewater; two daughters, Louise Johns of Catawissa, Margaret Collins of Whitewater; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Robert Dudley officiating. Burial will be in Proffer Cemetery at Crump.
