CHARLESTON -- Ruby Geneva Ogden, 92, of Charleston died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Feb. 24, 1906, at Poplar Bluff, daughter of Jasper and Augusta Walker Ogden. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Charleston and Lincoln University at Jefferson City. She taught school beginning at Texas Bend in 1927 and retired from Hearnes Elementary School in 1970...
CHARLESTON -- Ruby Geneva Ogden, 92, of Charleston died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Feb. 24, 1906, at Poplar Bluff, daughter of Jasper and Augusta Walker Ogden.
She graduated from Lincoln High School in Charleston and Lincoln University at Jefferson City. She taught school beginning at Texas Bend in 1927 and retired from Hearnes Elementary School in 1970.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Charleston.

Survivors include several cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at the Shiloh Baptist Church Tuesday morning from 11 until the funeral at 1 p.m.
Funeral will be at the church at 1. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
