CHARLESTON -- Ruby Nell Finley, 74, of Charleston, died Wednesday, March 17, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 28, 1918, in Dover, Tenn., daughter of Maxie and Maggie Stagner McMillen. She and Tom Finley were married Dec. 21, 1940.
Finley retired from Sands Restaurant in 1977, and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Troy Smith and Billy Finley of Charleston, James Finley of Portageville, Bobby Finley of Steele, Donnie Finley of Cave City, Ark.; seven daughters, Joanne Broussard of Hillsboro, Martha Shankle of Charleston, Rita Jarvis of Bessemer, Ala., Gloria Ferguson of Clarksville, Tenn., Debbie Meyer and Linda Henderson of Vienna, Ill., Patricia Neal of Sikeston; four brothers, Willie McMillen of Bertrand, Bob McMillen of Key Largo, Fla., J.C. McMillen of Sikeston, Grady McMillen of Charleston; five sisters, Geneva Vail of Bertrand, Edna Huey of Paris, Tenn., Reva Switzer and Dorothy Patrick of Peoria, Ill., Margaret Cates of Charleston; 35 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, great-grandson and four brothers.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Barnhart will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
