Ruby Marie Leach, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born July 16, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, to Edward F. and Erna Amanda Sander Spalding. She and Harold J. Leach were married Oct. 25, 1945, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1990.
Ruby was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3838 and Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include a brother, Edward "Bud" (Patricia) Spalding of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Shirley (Marvin) Ates, Phyllis (Gene) Maevers, Kay (Kenneth) Maevers, all of Cape Girardeau; several nieces, nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces; and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Carolyn Ruth Spalding; and a sister, Nora Lee Seabaugh.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Fairmount Cemetery, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
