RUBY H. ICE

TAMMS, Ill. -- Ruby Harvell Ice, 79, of Thonotosassa, Fla., formerly of Tamms, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 1995, at the University Village Nursing Home in Tampa, Fla.

She was born June 8, 1916, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of George and Osee Crocker Harvell.

She and John Ice were married April 8, 1939.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Tamms, and was retired from the Illinois Secretary of State's office in Springfield.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Phillip Ice of Thonotosassa, Jerry Ice of Vera, Okla., and Gary Ice of Denver; two daughters, Carol Josenlyn of St. Paul, Minn., and Phyllis Holloway of Hillsboro, Ill.; four sisters, Violet Twente, Hazel Newell and Zula Melvin of Tamms, and Freda Miller of Anna, Ill.; two brothers, Plez Harvell of Tamms and Charles Harvell of Elco, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home at Tamms between 6 and 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Kenneth Johnson will officiate, with burial in the McCrite Cemetery at Tamms.
