CAIRO, Ill. -- Ruby Ellen Smith, 90, of Cairo, died Monday, Jan. 10, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 1, 1903, in Sturgis, Ky., daughter of William Edward and Ida Pruella Winders Wilson. She and Floyd J. "Smitty" Smith were married April 14, 1923, in Cairo. He died Sept. 26, 1993.
Smith was a member of First Christian Church, Metropolis Rebekah Lodge 28, Past President Club of Rebekah District Association, and Ladies Encampment Auxiliary 103 in Sikeston, Mo.
Survivors include a daughter, June Minton of Marion; two brothers, Lloyd Wilson of Sikeston, Leonard Wilson of Cairo; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a stepgranddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and two brothers.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, with the Richard Pigg officiating.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.
