MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Ruby Lee Darby, 86, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 19, 1919, in Marble Hill, daughter of William T. and Mary Dell Crites Fox. She and Lon Otto Darby were married April 14, 1935, in Jackson. He died in 1940.
Darby was a sewing machine operator several years at Advance Shoe Factory. She was a charter member of Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Darby of Hillsboro, Mo., Bobby Darby of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, two sisters and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will be in Crader Family Cemetery near Marble Hill.
