Ruby Dale Welty, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 19, 1908, in Leemon, Mo., daughter of Gilbert Dale Masterson and Mary Lula Clementz Masterson.
She married James Welty on Sept. 13, 1933, at Ste. Genevieve. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1965.
She worked as a cook at various schools, including Egypt Mills, Nell Holcomb and Shepperd School at Neely's Landing, and Myers Hall at Southeast Missouri State University. She was also a baby sitter in her home.
Survivors include a son, James W. Welty of Scott City; daughter, Joyce Alexander of Evansville, Ind.; two brothers, Delbert Masterson and William Masterson, both of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Rd. with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 today.
