CAIRO, Ill. -- Ruby L. Caldwell, 85, of Cairo died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

She was born Jan. 2, 1914, at Ballard County, Ky., daughter of Jim and Belle Turner Goins. Caldwell was a member of the Cairo United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Caldwell of Cairo, Walter Allen Caldwell of Highland; a daughter, Betty Sue Griffith of Cairo; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Dr. Larry L. Potts officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery at Bardwell, Ky.
