DEXTER -- Ruby M. Baker, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 6, 1911, at Gray Ridge, daughter of John and Mary Louella Renfro Sherwood.
Baker had lived in the Gray Ridge and Dexter areas all her life. She retired from Elder Manufacturing Co. in Dexter, and was a member of Gray Ridge General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Russell Davis of Gray Ridge; a daughter, Joyce Barney of O'Fallon; two stepsons, J.C. Moore of Topeka, Kan., Jim Baker of St. Louis; four stepdaughters, Louise Tarrance of Van Buren, Rosiland Coffey of St. Ann, Shirley Green and Barbara Garner of Dexter; a sister, Delores Long of Dexter; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Henry Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery at Essex.
