OLMSTED, Ill. -- Ruby Ellen Caudle Allen, 87, of Olmsted died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at Daystar Nursing Center in Cairo. She was born Nov. 21, 1910, in Pulaski, daughter of Warren Edwards and Amelia Atherton Edwards. She married Jim Allen, who preceded her in death...

OLMSTED, Ill. -- Ruby Ellen Caudle Allen, 87, of Olmsted died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at Daystar Nursing Center in Cairo.

She was born Nov. 21, 1910, in Pulaski, daughter of Warren Edwards and Amelia Atherton Edwards. She married Jim Allen, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Liz Crain of Mounds, Donna Basham of Olmsted; a son, Kenneth Caudle of Grand Chain; two sisters, Jennie Thurston of Pulaski, Wilma Richards of Olmsted; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. F. Jerry Herring officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery east of Ullin.
