ADVANCE -- Ruben James "R.J." Craddock, 70, Advance Route 1, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1994, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
He was born April 4, 1924, in Morley, son of Sidney Thomas and Sylvia Mae Patterson Craddock. He and Marcelean Ellen Holder were married July 27, 1950. She died March 17, 1980.
Craddock lived in the Circle City community many years, and lived in Shepherd, Texas, from 1980 until moving to Advance earlier this year.
He was retired from McDonnell Douglas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda McAnally of Shepherd, Patricia Bell, Advance Route 1; Jack Jordan of Harrison, Ark., Bob Jordan of Houston, Texas, Rick Craddock of Midway, Texas; 15 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. H. Worth officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
