RUBEN E. BOGENPOHL

JACKSON -- Ruben E. Bogenpohl, 82, of Jackson, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 1995, at Deal Nursing Home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1913, in Jacob, Ill., son of Paul and Lena Kranawetter Bogenpohl. He and Bernice Schweer were married Aug. 7, 1938. She died Feb. 24, 1990.

Bogenpohl farmed north of Jackson, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Pocahontas.

Survivors include a son, Don Bogenpohl of Jackson; a brother, William Bogenpohl of Oak Ridge; a half brother, Evert Weber of Jackson; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Church, with the Rev. Howard Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, Sunday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and at the church from 1 p.m. to service time.
