ANNA, Ill. - Roy Tompkins, 91, of Anna, died Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Union County Nursing Home in Anna. He was born Dec. 11, 1902, in Jackson County, to Thomas and Arabelle Bess Tompkins. On July 11, 1922, he married Katheryn Cook. She preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 1988...
ANNA, Ill. - Roy Tompkins, 91, of Anna, died Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Union County Nursing Home in Anna.
He was born Dec. 11, 1902, in Jackson County, to Thomas and Arabelle Bess Tompkins.
On July 11, 1922, he married Katheryn Cook. She preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 1988.
Survivors include one daughter, Omega Casper of Anna; one son, Roy Tompkins, Jr. of Elmwood; one sister, Mildred North of Anna, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a half-brother.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m., Monday, and on Tuesday until time of funeral services at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Al Slayter officiating.
Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery.
