Roy "Red" Sexton, 76, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1994, at Cape LaCroix. He was born July 1, 1917, in Cameron, Okla., son of Elisha and Lizzy Johnson Sexton. He married the former Hazel Wood. Sexton was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife of Nashville, Tenn.; four sons, Claude, Johnny and Larry Sexton of Nashville, Charles Sexton of Commerce; five daughters, Ann Ozment of Scott City, Mary Johnson of Spencer, Wis., Judy Childers of Metropolis, Ill., Sherry Wilkins and Donna Miller of Nashville; a brother, Joe Sexton of Dumas, Ark.; a sister, Jereen Sexton of Dumas; 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.. ...

Survivors include his wife of Nashville, Tenn.; four sons, Claude, Johnny and Larry Sexton of Nashville, Charles Sexton of Commerce; five daughters, Ann Ozment of Scott City, Mary Johnson of Spencer, Wis., Judy Childers of Metropolis, Ill., Sherry Wilkins and Donna Miller of Nashville; a brother, Joe Sexton of Dumas, Ark.; a sister, Jereen Sexton of Dumas; 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Chaplain Art Kelley will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.

There is no visitation.
