MOUNDS, Ill. -- Roy Love, 77 years old, of Mounds, died Saturday, May 23, 1992, at his home.
He was born Oct. 18, 1914, at Vienna, Ill., son of Joseph Love and Sara Kiestler Love.
He was a veteran of World War II, and a retired operator at Burkart Foam Inc., of Cairo.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Gadish Love of the home; a son, James Edward Love, Easton, Pa.; two stepsons, Jesse Turner of Jacksonville, Ill., and Jerry Kurtz of Mounds; a stepdaughter, Mary Lou Flannigan of Marion, Ill.; brother, Tommy Love of Vienna; sister, Katie Mayden of Clay City, Ill.; six grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; 27 step great grandchildren; and 16 step great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Emmons.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Rev. Ernest Browning officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Mound City.
Friends may call between 5 and 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
