WARE, Ill. -- Roy M. Jackson, 70, of Ware died Monday, June 4, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 7, 1930, at Whitewater, Mo., son of Walter and Lorene Stroder Jackson. He and Neda Johnson were married June 11, 1950, in Pocahontas, Ark.
Jackson was a truck driver most of his life.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bobby Jackson of Jonesboro, Ill.; two daughters, Terry Jackson of High Point, N.C., Doris Jackson of McClure, Ill.; a brother, Jack Jackson of Delta, Mo.; a sister, Pauline Tonsor of Peoria, Ill.; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-7 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
