MOREHOUSE -- Funeral service for Roy Hunt Jr., Doniphan Route 1, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Morehouse, with the Rev. David Garner officiating.
Another service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bogner-Busch Family Chapel in North Ridgeville, Ohio. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery in Avon, Ohio.
Hunt, 63, died Wednesday, May 4, 1994, at St. Louis University Medical Center.
He was born March 3, 1931, at Morehouse, son of Charles Ray and Hattie Babb Hunt Sr.
Hunt lived in Lorain County, Ohio, 33 years, where he was employed by Ford Motor Co. at the Lorain Plant and at the Ohio Truck Plant in Avon. He had lived in Doniphan since 1988.
He was a member of Doniphan VFW Post 3485, Doniphan Eagles 4287, Sikeston Eagles 3319, and UAW Local 2000. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Tester and Nancy Hunt of North Ridgeville, Norma Bakos of Elyria, Ohio, Betty Naylor of Grafton, Ohio; his mother of Morehouse; a sister, Ruth Beardsley of Murphysboro, Ill.; nine grandchildren, and former wife, Evelyn Hunt of Columbia Station, Ohio.
