Roy A. "Bud" Hanners, 85, of Burfordville died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Woodland Hills Nursing Center in Marble Hill, Mo.
He was born May 19, 1924, at Scopus, Mo., son of Charles J. and Polly A. Cook Hanners. He and Verna Mae Cook were married Sept. 27, 1947. She died April 10, 2005.
Bud retired from the Jackson School District, where he had worked in maintenance and was a school bus driver. After retiring he assisted in the operation of Wayne and Sandy's Hutch.
Survivors include a son, Dwayne and wife Sandy Hanners of Sedgewickville; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Fulbright and the Rev. Steven Sander officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery at Scopus, Mo.
