KARNAK, Ill. -- Roy Eugene Ford, 77, of Karnak died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was born Oct. 18, 1921, in Vienna, son of Roy and Viola Lavender Ford.
Ford was a retired MetLife Insurance agent, had owned and operated Ford's Service Station, and was treasurer of Karnak Village Board 30 years. He was a member of Karnak Baptist Church and MAP Training Board.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Anderson of Karnak; two sons, Steve Ford of Metropolis, Neal Ford of Karnak; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Printha, and a sister.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Shawn Wasson officiating. Burial will be in Massac Memorial Gardens at Metropolis.
