ROY A. POBST

CHAFFEE -- Roy A. Pobst, 71, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Chaffee, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 1991, at Saguan Nursing Home.

He was born April 15, 1920, at Sullivan, son of Albert and Josephine Steimle Pobst. He and Maria Carman Blanco were married Dec. 16, 1985.

Pobst served 30 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in October 1971 at San Juan, Puerto Rico. He moved to Chaffee in 1973, and later moved to Plano.

He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in McAllen, Texas.

Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, Ivonne Blanco of the home; a brother, Robert Pobst of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jeanette Seabaugh of Chaffee, and a stepsister, Alma Stone of Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by a stepsister, Virginia Seabaugh.

A memorial service will be held later at St. Jude Church.
