MOUNDS, Ill. -- Rosie R. Helton, 77, Mounds Route 1, formerly of Mound City, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born April 4, 1914, in Mississippi County, Mo. She married William Archie Helton, who died in 1964.

Survivors include a daughter, Alice Williams of Mounds; five sons, Robert Helton of Barlow, Ky., Lawrence and Raymond Helton of Villa Ridge, Harry Helton of Mounds, Melborne Helton of Cairo; 24 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and two sons.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Chapel in Villa Ridge. The Rev. Robert Burchyett will officiate, with burial in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
